About CAPS

“Founded in 1984, Capital Area Parkinson’s Society addresses the needs of those impacted by Parkinson’s Disease in central Texas.  The  organization offers a multitude of support groups, resources, monthly meetings with expert speakers, and a community for people afflicted by Parkinson’s, and for those responsible for their care.”

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Help during CAPS monthly Membership meetings
  • Write articles for the CAPS newsletter
  • Assist a facilitator with a Parkinson’s Disease local support group
  • Provide transportation to and from a meeting for a member
  • Support the organization’s business and administrative needs
  • Expand CAPS’s social media presence
  • Increase awareness of CAPS in the local media
  • Join the Board of Directors
